Baby Shower! Items To Add To Your Registry

Pregnancy-2If you are a new mom, the first trip to the baby store to start your gift registry can be a scary experience. My advice is to have the company of a veteran mom of multiple kids to help you make that trip a little more realistic. Some of the things you may want to consider adding to your registry are:

  • Baby-furniture (crib, changing station, bassinet)
  • Infant car seat
  • Medical supplies (thermometer, medicine dropper, suction bulb, baby meds)
  • Breast pump, bottles of your choice, milk storage supplies
  • Nursing accessories like pillows, breast pads, and nipple creams
  • Formula if you are not able or planning to breast feed
  • Stroller
  • Play yard
  • Baby monitor
  • High chair
  • Stationary entertainer
  • Swing
  • Nursing chair
  • Diapers
  • Wipes
  • Bibs and burp cloths
  • Receiving blankets
  • Diaper pail
  • Baby carrier or sling
  • Bouncy seat
  • Bottle warmer/bottle rack/bottle brush/insulated bottle bag
  • Bathtub and hooded towels
  • A diaper bag
  • Mobiles
  • Baby Bullet
  • Crawling mats
  • Pop up tunnels

Again these are some suggestions we at Gissybella thought will help make your gift registry a little less stressful. Believe me, you will get plenty of pacifiers, onesies, washcloths, lotions, shampoos, adorable baby clothes, accessories, and booties that there really is not much need to add those items to your registry. That is of course unless you come across something you absolutely must have and can’t see your baby going without. Be prepared also to receive some gifts that will shock you, confuse you and straight up make you laugh. What to do with the extra stuff? Most stores will give you store credit for those duplicate or abundant gifts; you can save or use that credit when you need it (whether its diapers, wipes or a neat gadget you just had to try). Donating to local places, selling items, or starting a hand-me-down co-op are other great ways to put to use those items your baby outgrew in what seemed like a couple of days for great use.
